Here is what actually shapes a move around the CBD core, Haymarket, Pyrmont, Ultimo, Surry Hills and Potts Point. ### The loading dock is the whole game Most CBD towers move you in and out through a loading dock and a goods lift, not the front door. Both have to be booked, often days ahead, and the building will not confirm the booking without a certificate of currency proving the mover is insured. Miss that paperwork and the truck gets turned away at the dock with your furniture still on it. We book the dock, book the lift and send the certificate before the day, so check-in is a formality. ### You get a 30 to 60 minute lift window Buildings run the goods lift on timed slots, usually 30 to 60 minutes, and some auto-cancel the booking if no truck is on the dock 15 minutes in.
